The Yamaha Pacifica 611VFM represents the very best in Yamaha’s revered line of Pacifica electric guitars. The Pacifica 611HFM shoots for professional features and sound, good looks with no gimmicks and that ‘a-little-bit-special’ custom shop feel; all in a guitar which surprises many by coming in well below their budget for a high-spec guitar.
The main interesting features of the Pacifica 611 include the custom-wound Seymour Duncan pickups which in conjunction with all solid wood construction combine to produce a large variety of quality tones: Everything from powerful cleans right up to tight, high-gain distortion. The hardware Yamaha have chosen for the 611VFM is also uncompromisingly high-quality with locking Grover tuners and Wilkinson VS-50 bridge ensuring gig-worthy reliability and stable tuning.
The Pacifca 611HFM brings the idea of a high end guitar to a whole new level. By keeping the price astoundingly low, Yamaha have made the Pacifica 611VFM a guitar that more than meets the needs of gigging guitarists without an astronomical price tag. It looks the part and plays like guitars worth twice the price!

Seymour Duncan Pickups
Custom 5 Humbucker – Like a higher-output version of the classic ’59 humbucker, the Custom 5 was developed in response to players customizing their SH-5 Custom or SH-11 Custom pickups with Alnico 5 magnets for a more vintage, less distorted tone but retaining a deeper bottom end than the stock ’59.
SP90-1 P-90 – Wound with plain enamel wire on a 1950’s Leesona winding machine, the SP90-1’s tone is a faithful reproduction of the original soapbar pickups. Short, wide bobbins give a higher output and more powerful midrange than conventional single-coils for a fat neck pickup tone with clarity impossible to achieve with humbucking pickups.
Graph Tech TUSQ XL Nut and String Tree
TUSQ XL is precision engineered to couple the strings vibrations to the neck and bring out hidden harmonics and richness in every note. 500 times more slippery than graphite, the Tefl on-impregnated material eliminates string-binging and ensures tuning stability, even with massive string bends.
Coil Tap adds versatility
The standard-equipment coil tap function allows simple switching from humbucker to single-coil tones from the Seymour Duncan Custom 5 bridge pickup.
