Maximum portability
Hartke designed the TX600 to make it easy to transport. Hartke achieved this by designing the amp around a Class D power section, which does away with much of the circuitry that can weigh down other amplifiers while still delivering the same power and warmth of tone. Hartke also built a rugged carry handle right into the amp allowing you to carry your bass amp with one hand when loading in and out at your next gig. With all of the features and power the TX600 carries, it’s amazing how they got it all into such a portable and easy-to-use package.
Tube tone, solid-state reliability
The first thing your bass signal will hit is Hartke’s famous tube preamplifier. Placing a 12AX7 preamp tube in the circuit gives you the warmth and detail of a tube amp while remaining lightweight and maintenance free. Your sound then runs through an incredibly flexible and easy-to-use tone stack. The bass and treble controls have been optimally voiced, while the shape control allows you to choose the frequencies you want to effect. And a push of the Brite button adds a little more top end to cut through the mix.
Compressor, effects loop, and more
With all of the power and tonal control onboard, it’s astounding how many tone-shaping features Hartke added to the TX600. A single-knob compressor intuitively evens out your peaks or adds aggressive punch to a slap tone. The effects loop is a great place to run your time-based effects. And you also have 1/8″ jacks for headphones and an auxiliary device such as a phone or MP3 player.
