The Job
This is an extremely stunning Tom Anderson Hollow-T we had the privilege to work on. Looks good aye? Wait till you see the flames on this one. Well, this beauty was brought in for a pickup swap. The originals are stacked coils and the cilent wanted to switch to single Telecastor coils for a more vintage Tele-twang.

The figuring on the top never fails to take our breath away...

Unwinding the strings so we can start work on the wiring.

No idea who did the previous wiring job but it didn't look too
intuitive so we decided to redo the whole control plate altogether.

The candidate for the neck pickup; a Tom Anderson TV1 with a chrome cover.
We had to swap out the chrome cover for a gold one to match the existing hardware.

After removing the chrome cover, we checked the DC resistance to make sure the coils aren't disturbed or broken.

Fitting the gold cover on the pickup.

We had to heat the new cover and re-flow the wax to prevent
any squeals or microphonics that may result from the previous step.

Now, onto removing all the existing electronics.

Taking out the old switches and pots.

Another shot of the gorgeous top before we fix in the pickups.

This is the new set of controls that we wired up, and we tried our best to make it as neat and secure as possible.

Popping in the new pickups.

Wiring up the pickups and grounding to the control plate.

All done up and ready for restring and setup!
