The Job - Regluing the bridge back onto an Epiphone® "Don Everly" Signature Jumbo acoustic guitar.

The bridge was originally glued onto a laquered top - an unreliable hold which caused the bridge to fall out and resulted in the bridge area looking like a mess.

The original glue surfaces need to be free of dirt and old glue. Here you can see us sanding away the remains
of the old glue and laquer on the back side of the bridge. We also cleaned the bridge area on the sound board.

Making sure the surface is clean is essential as it will ensure better wood glue contact. The bridge is now ready to be glued after the removal of old glue and dirt.

Titebond® glue is known to be the best all-around top repair glue used by professionals everywhere.

We had to clean along the glue line several times after application. The caul was then placed onto the bridge to spread clamping
pressure and protect against clamp marks. Finally the clamps were installed and we waited for 24 hours before removing them.

The bridge is holding up very well and the join is seamless even after the guitar was strung with 0.011-0.052 gauge strings.
