The Boss MetalZone remains a widely debated pedal since its inception. While one can argue that the MT-2 sounds extremely compressed and fizzy, i.e., "lifeless", the same praise can be made for its wide gain range and the extremely powerful shelving and parametric EQ sections. That's why we decided to enhance this pedal's functionality and tonal palatte with the "Reanimation" mod.

This mod opens up the distortion tone for more clarity and playing dynamics. Try picking individual notes in a chord and you'll hear the difference in clarity and touch sensitivty.

Most importantly we've also removed the inherent mid scoop you get from a stock MT-2. We feel that it's essential to restore the mids for a more even tone. The reason behind this is simple, you can't EQ the mids back into the tone if there aren't any mids to begin with.
